Skip Barber Dream Track

It’s another Week 13 on iRacing which means it’s time to delve into the forums a bit deeper as they are jumping with activity.

Brett Struble started a thread on sketching racetracks  in high school during his ‘spare’ time in class! I got two takeaways from reading the entire thread. 1) Every guy (likely girls as well) spends significant time doodling , enveloped in their passion while the education system isn’t fully engaging and 2) There’s a lot of undiscovered talent out there.

            Fictional Strubleton
For me it was golf courses which via  Accolades ‘Mean 18′  some years later I was able to put them into software form and play.  Pebble Beach and St. Andews had
nothing on my originals.  Every PC/console/etc golf game I have ever played had mechanics taken from this game. My manila folders were covered on one side with between 4-9 course holes and on the other with various now iconic rock n roll logos, primarily AC/DC, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin and Van Halen.

Ultimately someone posted a Skip Barber dream track, a result of various  famous sections of popular road courses combined into a single track.  What a really cool concept.  Maybe iRacing will contemplate building one of these in the future or even have a fictional build-off.  Keep the community engaged!!   Enjoy the pics!
